Depending on the way that the tree trunk is sawn in the sawmill, our Douglas fir cladding can be manufactured in what is known as a flat cut or rift and half-cut. In the case of the rift cut, the annual rings extend uniformly in one direction, so that the overall grain of the wood cladding is calmer.
